In the last few years, Indore has emerged as a much smarter and cleaner city. In fact, today, the city’s philosophical imperative with promising frameworks enables a broad cultural network across the communities. To cater to the elites of this commercial capital of MP, upscale properties like Radisson Blu Indore have set up just the right environment. From sophisticated ambience to decor, Radisson Blu has it all. Recently, I was invited to review the Indore Radisson’s Executive Suite. And boy, I was impressed the moment I laid my eyes on the BMW 3 Series GT 320D that arrived at the airport to pick me up. A pleasant drive of 20-minutes got me to the property. Where I was further greeted with a traditional welcome.
After a prompt check-in, I set out to enjoy lunch at TCK, Radisson’s all-day kitchen. The Creative Kitchen features both a grand buffet and an interesting Ala Carte menu. Although in alignment with the modern culinary trends, Radisson Blu has pushed far beyond its early foraged buffet practice. To embrace gastronomic innovation and luxury, TCK has recently introduced the ‘available throughout the day’ menu. So I had to give it a shot. The Executive Chef was kind enough to organise an elaborate tasting which included drool-worthy Crispy Jumbo Prawns in Sriracha Mayo, Bhatti ka Murgh, California Grapes Paneer, and Ghost Ki Shammi. The meal was paired with refreshing cocktails, such as the Cloudy Aquarius and the Shrimp Bloody Mary with crushed olives and cucumber.
After the hearty lunch, I decided to spend some time in the Suite. Luckily with ample space to move around, this Suite provides everything you need to work, live and relax. (Includes maximized in-room fitness walking) But apart from that, this lavishly-appointed Executive Suite flaunts an elegant living and sleeping area to please even the most demanding guests. Did I enjoy the in-room powder room, rain shower with steam, whirlpool tub, king-size bed, and a pillow menu? Absolutely Yes! Add to that, 2 flat-screen TV(s), a minibar, and an entertainment system. The Suite comes power-packed with complimentary Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art technology, a large living room and access to the rooftop pool. Besides, this Suite at Radisson Blu seamlessly transforms work into pleasure by blending extravagant décor with panoramic city views. With this Suite, you also get the advantage of the complimentary snacks and house drinks at the Lobby Bar.
Early evening, I set out to explore Radisson Indore’s in-house Spa – that goes by the name Sky Spa & Salon. This rooftop Spa Salon boasts the finest selection of organic therapies. From the extensive list of treatments, I settled on a 120-minute Chocolate Scrub and Wrap. I mean who doesn’t like to be wrapped in a foil to feel like giant kit kat, right? Also, because Chocolate is excellent for our skin. This chocolate scrub and wrap did hydrate my skin by providing it with the right nourishment. All in all, it was a holistic experience that involved detoxing, steam, rain shower, soul music, and a lavishly enfolded rejuvenation.
For dinner, I chose to dine at the in-house PAN Asian restaurant, Ni Hao. At this speciality restaurant, Executive Sous Chef Siddharth commands the Chinese gastronomy wing. He surprised me with a spectrum of creative Asian dishes such as the Prawn Siumai, Hoisin Duck Spring roll, Smoked Salmon Sushi and Oriental Lamb Dimsum. The impressive array of sophisticated hot pots, sushi platters and Shanghai delicacies left me impressed.
After a much hectic day, I retired to the invariably stylish Executive Suite. From interiors evoking a sweet nostalgia to sheathed wooden walls and flooring, this Suite is much of an Instagram worthy staycation. Add to that chocolate hors-d’oeuvre, cheese and great wine. As I was already stuffed by my dinner, I decided to rather end my day by immersing in the whirlpool bathtub. Keep the bedroom and washroom curtains open to having a clear view of the bed and the city lights through the bathtub. What an amazing view! Especially when rinsing away stress while luxuriating in the phenomenal city lights.
Next day I woke up to a splendid morning. Watching the sunrise from Radisson’s Executive Suite was phenomenal. From fog-laden mountains at a distance to ground traffic beneath, Indore was rising and shining. I had breakfast at TCK, however, I would have preferred it in the room. By noon, it was time to check out. All in all, a good stay. If a comfortable stay is your priority, then this upscale property should be your next stop.
Insider Tip: I noticed that every time I left the Suite, someone from housekeeping would visit. That happened almost every 2 hours hence I would highly recommend you keep your belongings locked at all times.
For Indian Food, you may try out their speciality restaurant, Indiya Oye.
