Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Shower Gel

Languishing over the pink Japanese cherry blossom is no more an Imperial luxury. Thanks to wellness brands like Body Shop, which have made the benefits of these luscious Japanese flowers available in their products. Harvested in April and May, the flower of cherry blossom is well-known for its oil that nourishes skin in the best possible way. Using the cherry blossom, Body Shop has crafted an entire range of body care products for those who would love to immerse in the subtle fragrance of these poetic flowers.

Japanese Cherry Blossom Bodyshop

I have tried and tested almost every product in this range, with Japanese cherry blossom shower gel being the newest addition to the list. Loaded with sweet magnolia and cherry blossom extracts, this is one of the best body cleansers you can get your hands on. Priced at INR 625 for a 250ML bottle, the Japanese cherry blossom shower gel by Body Shop refreshes you in no time. Each dab of this soap-free shower gel represents the goodness of its ingredients, and it’s almost like bathing beneath a blizzard of hand-picked cherry blossom petals. Even though the petals are cold-pressed, the pure essence they provide is good enough to transport you to the blossoming pink streets of Japan.

In an attempt to increase the romanticism, Body Shop has even infused this fruity-floral shower gel with the notes of spring Hinoki wood accords. To immerse in this floral fragrance feast, gently lather the shower gel on your skin using the bath lily. I also love the product packaging – a simple yet sturdy plastic bottle with cherry blossom designs and a black flip cap. The shower gel stacked inside this bottle is that of a champagne pink colour in liquid consistency.

Only a few drops are required to create a rejuvenating shower experience but, with Body Shop bath Lily (Loofah), you can extend the lather to cover your entire body. What I, personally, love about this shower gel is that, unlike other bath products, this one doesn’t dry your skin. Instead, it keeps your skin soft and moisturised and is suitable for all skin types. I usually carry the 60ML bottle while travelling as it’s easy to fit just about anywhere. By and large, a purchase worth its price!
