Indore Kitchen: A Fine Dining Experience

Marriott International lives up to its name by offering excellent services to its guests, and Indore Marriott is an ideal representation of the brand value. I am happy to come across a hotel in Indore that confers world-class facilities at affordable rates. During my first suite stay with Indore Marriott, I ate a lot at Indore Kitchen, the all-day dining restaurant. Indore Kitchen is a pleasant surprise! While you will find many continental dishes made available for demanding palates, this restaurant’s ultimate highlight is the authentic Indori Tadka it proposes to its guests.

Located inside Indore Marriott, this restaurant is the culinary star of Indore and broadly acknowledged as one of the best places to eat in by foodies-alike. As for the interiors and the decor, Indore Kitchen parallels the vibe of an acclaimed Roman restaurant, that of the likes of La Pergola. Its charming dining space is furnished, with decorative walls, ornate ceilings, cylindrical hanging lights and enormous windows, which exhibit garden views.

Indore Marriott Executive Chef Vivek Kalia

The menu is full of comfort food, innovative dishes underpinned by fresh ingredients and chefs with a passionate approach to food. The cuisine is best, complemented with ‘artistic cocktails’ from the bar. Today I am visiting Indore Kitchen for a food review, and my culinary adventure commenced with “The Untold Story,” a scotch-based drink with cinnamon and baked citrus. Jitu, the mixologist, introduced me to a couple of more cocktails this evening.

However, “The Untold Story,” with its smoky bourbon notes, stole the show. During this time, executive chef Vivek Kalia dropped by and disclosed how keen Marriott is on using fresh produce for all they cook. Kalia mentioned how Devesh Rawat, the GM, advisedly organises frequent farm trips for chefs to examine and source fresh ingredients. We all want to ensure ‘exceptionally good’ food, and it all begins with sourcing the healthiest and cleanest food components.

Indore Marriott Lamb Parda Biryani

In the meanwhile, the food arrived. In about a few minutes, several dishes were arranged, on the table, including Paya soup, Rajwadi Lamb Seekh Kebab and time-honoured Parda Biryani. That followed by the Nigri sushi platter, jumbo prawns, a rack of lamb and parchment paper baked fish. For the desserts, I savoured Shahi Rasmalai decorated with caramelised rings and rose petals and the signature chef chocolate potpourri.

Indore Marriott Shahi Dessert

Each dish was outstanding if you ask me! But I also know that I will need to make multiple visits to the restaurant to devour each one of these independently. I think for Indore – Marriott’s Indore Kitchen positively sets the bar high with its fine dining prospects.
