After years of unceasing determination, Chef Antara Bhatia, a former Oberoi Cordon bleu, has recently made a name for herself with Marriott Indore’s fine-tuned Pizza craft. Believe you me, Pizza Calzones at Indore Marriott, are just as festive, as in Italy during Christmas.
Calzone Pizzas are Southern Italy’s way of stocking Christmas flavours in a folded Pizza. Exactly, what Chef Antara Bhatia, does every day at Indore Marriott, by baking over 200 Smoking Pizzas for the esteemed guests.
In a candid conversation with Chef Antara Bhatia, I learned about her early days in the pantry section. She recalls with affection, how she had learned Pizza making in less than a day’s time! Even though, what’s amazing about her, is that she rolls out hundreds of freshly baked Pizzas at Indore Marriott every day. Which by the way, feature a fine balance of crispiness, mouth-melting stuffing, and unwavering high-quality of ingredients.

Q: What is your favourite food to eat?
A: Homestyle food like simple Dal Chawal (Lentils and Rice)
Q: Why did you choose to become a Chef?
A: Because I cook for smiles and nothing makes me happier than a delighted guest
Q: What is your favourite cuisine to cook? Why?
A: Other than Italian, I love to experiment with Indian cuisine, which is my favourite because I grew up, to its wondrous flavours. In future, I would like to take my Indian cooking skills to the global kitchens.

A: A delicious Calzone Pizza bursting with flavours and your favourite ingredients
Q: What do you do to ensure the quality of the food going out to customers?
A: I use fresh ingredients and maintain high standards of quality while creating and serving dishes

A: I won Gold Medal, for Indian food category in the National competition held by GICC in Mumbai

A: Dedication, Learning Skills, and Flexibility to work in different sections of the kitchen

A: In all honesty, I’d say beyond everything else!
